The Love Square

Definition: The Love Square is when not two, but three characters vie for the protagonist’s affections.

When I put together my book blurb and trailer script for Entangled, I wrote them as though there was only one character attachment.

It wasn’t until the 11th hour (or if this were Graylee Perez – the 2nd hour) that it hit me square in the face. I had myself a love square.

I immediately phoned my trailer editor (my brother) and we worked the two extra warlocks into the book trailer.

Three warlocks might be a lot for one witch to handle, but in my opinion you can’t have enough hotties firing up the pages. Not to mention they come in handy in sequels. : )

  2. Good luck x

I thought by love square you meant when two people were each other's love interests, but each had a girl/boyfriend or other love interest. I love those books.
But your love square sound awesome - 3 hotties for one girl = steaminess :)

  3. I'm always up for hotties in a story. Glad I stopped in to say hi to a fellow YA author. See you in the A-Z Blogging Challenge.
