Summer Reading

What does Summer Reading mean to you?

Since 2006 or so, when my daughter started to become interested in books, Summer Reading has meant the program sponsored by our local library. She keeps track of the time spent reading and "cashes" the points in for raffle tickets and prizes.

The more you read, the more you win. Suffice to say, the audio books are on WAY more than the T.V. all summer. Which is a good thing.

For me,Summer Reading used to be taking out stacks of books from the library. It was the only time of the year when I had time to read as much as I wanted. No prizes or raffle tickets back in the day.

What are you reading this summer? I just finished Revolution by Jennifer Donnelly. Amazing YA, mix of historical fiction, and contemporary angst.
