My NaNoWriMo Playlist

I've found over the past few years that most writers listen to music as part of their writing process. I personally don't listen to music while I'm writing, but any other time I have music going and usually it's theme music for what I'm currently working on. This is not a full list, but here are the top 25 songs I've been listening to while working on my WIP for NaNoWriMo.
When I Fall, Natalie Duque (This is the only one I couldn't find on YouTube so it's a link to Spotify)
F**kin’ Perfect, P!nk

Feel Again, OneRepublic

Ungodly Hour, The Fray

Glad You Came, The Wanted

How Bad We Need Each Other, Marc Scibilia

Wanted, Hunter Hayes

I Won’t Give Up, Jason Mraz

Down, Jason Walker

The Mess I Made, Parachute

Love Love Love, Of Monsters and Men

Overjoyed, Matchbox Twenty

The Way, Matchbox Twenty

Honey and the Moon, Joseph Arthur

You Got What I Need, Joshua Radin

Bitter Sweet Symphony, The Verve

Fix a Heart, Demi Lovato

Faultline, Katharine McPhee

What Makes You Beautiful, One Direction

Secrets, OneRepublic

One and Only, ADELE

I'm always looking for new songs so please share in the comments what you're listening to.

  1. I'm a huge fan of Florence and the machine. Recently, I found Two Door Cinema they are similar to Modest Mouse, and you can never get too much Chris Cornell or Perfect Circle.

  2. Bloodbank by Bon Iver, This Years Love by David Gray, Too Close by Alex Clare and anything by Head and the Heart or Silversun Pickups.

  3. Couple of songs I listen to over and over when I write - "Chelsea Dagger" by the Fratellis, "Too Close" by Alex Clare (which is apparently a popular one!), "Radioactive" by Imagine Dragons, and "Arlandria" by the Foo Fighters, which is basically the theme song for my WIP.

    1. I LOVE Imagine Dragons, they are actually on my expanded list. I started listening to them a few months ago (before they were popular) and now I here their music everywhere!
