Building The Buzz

Whether you plan to self-publish or go traditional, you'll have to do some marketing. Sarah Nego is doing a 30-day challenge and it is amazing. Sarah Nego is a junior apprentice at Corvisiero Literary Agency.

The challenge is called Building the Buzz  (click the icon and it'll take you straight to the launch). The marketing challenge provides a daily task of getting you and your novel out there. Below are a few highlights.

  • Writing a press release
  • Contacting local media
  • Writing your bio 
  • First readers
  • Street Teams
  • Local book stores 
  • The right way to do contests and giveaways--this one really came in handy since I'm planning another giveaway for my novel.
 It's not easy standing out, but with the right attitude and tools, it's possible.

The challenge started on May 1st, but you can start anytime. GO NOW. You won't regret it : )

  2. I don't think I'd be any good at the street teams thing, either. I'd go with giveaways for sure. Thanks for the link to Author EMS as well, sounds like a great resource!
