Hi guys! This week we're showcasing another Self Published book for SP Library. One of the things I love about Self Published and Small Press books is how unique they are - it seems that there are so many ideas that are brand new to me in SP books.
For example, do you know how many books I've read about Irish-American Gypsy clans? Zero. Which makes me extra eager to read this one.
It's easy to get caught up into the flaws and concerns about self publishing, or small press published books - but this is an example of one of the great things that comes about from these methods. Uniqueness. Freshness. And how could that ever be wrong for the book industry?
Bonus: This post comes with a swoony excerpt. Swoon with me, people! Swoon!
Book Name: The Long Game
Book Genre: NA Contemporary
Book release date: October 7, 2013
To rake in the big score he’s after, he needs to con co-ed Spencer into falling in love with him. He knows he should see Spencer as a mere means to an end, but that’s easier said than done when there’s a witty, attractive girl in your arms.
Now the only thing that can keep them apart is the thing that brought them together: Shay’s plans of revenge against someone who wronged his clan and family years before—Spencer’s father.
She gasped in mock-horror and poked me in the ribs. Laughing, I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her onto my lap. She squirmed against me, though there was nothing in her expression that suggested she wanted to be anywhere else. She’d given me the perfect opportunity to ask about meeting her dad, but instead we were kissing again, following what had become a familiar pattern of slow, deliberate movements that quickly progressed to a more intent—even frantic—need to be close to her. To taste her.
About J.L. Fynn:
J.L. Fynn is the public face of a private identity. She enjoys making up stories about iniquitous heroes, providing Delphic answers to unasked questions, and obfuscating the truth just for laughs. But then, what’s an author but a professional liar? If you send her an email she might let you in on her little secret—assuming she likes your moxie.
What do y'all think? I know I'm eager to read this one!
