Writing music: helping you with NaNoWriMo

Hello! I thought I would do a special edition of this mini-series and show you a few songs that always help to get me inspired for writing.

1. I know you care - Ellie Goulding

This is another one to get the tissues ready for. I always imagine a 'walking out' scene or a 'thinking' scene in a book. Ellie Goulding can sing for all emotions, but her sad songs are her best songs. Get listening!

2. Oh Calamity! - All Time Low

I have been listening to All Time Low non-stop for a few weeks now. I just have the ATL bug! These guys are absolutely incredible - in my opinion 'Don't Panic' is their best album so far - so give that a listen. They are extremely rocky and they are meant to be listened to LOUDLY. You won't regret listening to them, though. This song is a slower one of their's.

3. Imagine - John Lennon

I got thinking about my history classes, and my teacher (who is so sweet) made us watch this video once, as well as Let It Be. Don't ask me why she made us watch it, but this song gets you thinking. How about some ideas for a dystopian novel?

4. Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen

I was lucky enough to get a big part in our school's production of We Will Rock You last year. I have only just been reminded of it recently, and so I took a trip down memory lane. I wasn't born when this song came out, but it was one of Queen's songs that we sung in the production. It always gets you rocking out, and then afterwards thinking a lot about the lyrics. Perhaps this could be your lucky song?

I will have something different to talk about next week! Good luck with NaNoWriMo - unfortunately I wasn't able to take part this year, but the best of luck to all of you that take part!
