Author Media: How Do You Follow?

Ever since Google Reader shut down I haven't been following blogs like I used to. I've tried Feedly and Bloglovin, both are okay, but I'm not happy. It seems I'm missing all the blogs I used to follow.

I wonder how everyone else in the blogging community has adapted. I created a quick survey to see what our community is using.

Understanding how readers follow us is important. A lot of authors put time and effort in to blog tours, cover reveals, book blitzs and so on. If you have the time, please answer the question and give us a bit of insight! I'll post the results on my next blog post.
Create your free online surveys with SurveyMonkey , the world's leading questionnaire tool.

The second part of this post is to celebrate our new name!

Media comes in all different forms. As writers we shouldn't just focus on words. Let's get our right side working into overdrive with a new way to journal.

Many women love the idea of leading a more creative life, but don’t know where to begin. With Art Doodle Love, art journal expert Dawn DeVries Sokol provides the perfect jump start: an interactive fill-in book of prompts that will motivate women to “discover” themselves and their inner creative goddesses. Loosely inspired by Eat Pray Love, Elizabeth Gilbert’s memoir of self-discovery, Art Doodle Love overflows with colorful pages for recording thoughts and collecting ideas, as well as venting, soul-searching, and documenting everyday life. By following the insightful prompts, the journal keeper develops her artistic skills, gains confidence in her natural creativity, and learns about herself through self-reflection.

I received this journal last year for a birthday gift. It's pretty neat. When you need a break from editing or  writing, you can doodle your thoughts away in this colorful book.

Since this is geared toward women, men...I'll send you a manly journal : )
